Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will tour heavily in the coming months. The New Orleans band will kick off its run with a hometown Mardi Gras show at Tipitina’s in New Orleans on February 14 with Rebirth Brass Band and others. The group will tour the East Coast in February move west in March. Several of the group’s upcoming shows will also feature The New Mastersounds and Salvador Santana. The group is expected to preview material from its forthcoming release, which is produced by Galactic’s Ben Ellman from Galactic producing. The record is scheduled for an April 2010 release. Trombone Shorty will also play some dates around Georgia this week.
