Umphrey’s McGee performed at Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium on Saturday. Cornmeal opened the night and at end of Umphrey’s first set, the band brought out Cornmeal’s Allie Kral. Umphrey’s then charged into a cover of The Who’s “Baba O’Riley,” utilized Kral’s violin for the climatic final passage that closes out the song. A night earlier, Umphrey’s performed at the Belly Up in Aspen. There during a Sirius XM simulcast the group debuted a new song, “The Linear” in the middle of “Phil’s Farm” during the second set. The group is now off until it resumes its Winter 2010 tour
in Omaha, Nebraska on February 2nd. At present, Cornmeal has no additional confirmed dates until March.
