Bob Weir and RatDog opened week two of RatDog Daze 2010 last night in Negril, Jamaica. The event began on January 23 and extended over four nights, with the second stretch of dates starting on Thursday. The “Welcome Jam” began with an hour long set from Scaring the Children featuring Weir, Rob Wasserman and Jay Lane. The trio delivered such songs as “Blackbird,” “Me And My Uncle,” “Easy To Slip” and “Josephine.” Then the full RatDog line-up joined in with Mark Karan singing lead on such covers as “I Shot The Sherriff,” “Good Morning Little Schoolgirl” and “Stir It Up.” The group was bolstered by a bonus sax player, who is a part of the resort’s reggae band. RatDog will deliver a full two set show this evening.
