As previously reported, Galactic and Tea Leaf Green covered The Rolling Stones’ “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” together this weekend. Oddly enough, Gov’t Mule and its current opening act Jackie Greene also played the song together. On Saturday Greene, who paid tribute to The Rolling Stones with Gov’t Mule on Halloween, sat in with the members of Gov’t Mule for a covers of The Beatles’ “Don’t Let Me Down” and The Rolling Stones’ “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” at St. Louis, MO’s The Pageant Saturday night. Greene also joined Gov’t Mule for takes on the Grateful Dead’s “Loser” and Neil Young’s “Southern Man” at Chicago’s House of Blues Friday. The intimate gig was benefit for the University of Chicago’s Comer Children’s Hospital.

Gov’t Mule will perform at Davenport, IA’s Capitol Theatre tomarrow, while Greene will headline Ann Arbor, MI’s The Ark.
