More than 40 musicians have donated songs to 1% for the Planet: The Music, Vol. 1. Jack Johnson and Paula Fuga, Angelique Kidjo, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Josh Ritter, G. Love And Special Sauce, ALO and Josh Rouse are among the musicians represented on the release which is available for $9.99 at the 1% music web site and various online outlets. Proceeds will be directed to a variety of non-profit organizations working on environmental issues. Over 1,200 member companies have committed one percent of their sales to environmental organizations through the 1% for the Planet organization, which was founded in 2002.
