Lotus played an intimate show at Chicago’s Schuba’s on February 22. As a treat, the group used its first set to focus on post-rock music, busting out covers of Tortoise’s “Seneca,” This Will Destroy You’s “A Three-Legged Workhorse” and Trans Am’s “Obscene Strategies” (the latter song included a short solo on the German toy instrument the Stylophone). Lotus also used the set to showcase some of their own post and kraut-rock influenced compositions. Lotus will perform at Rochester, NY’s Water Street Music Hall tonight.
