The Disco Biscuits’ spring tour continued this past weekend without guitarist Jon Gutwillig, who injured his wrist after a recent show at Albany, NY’s The Egg. Guitarists Tom Hamilton (Brothers Past/American Babies) and Chris Michetti filled in for Gutwillig at Miami, FL’s Grand Central and Bicentennial Park. The band’s late-night performance at the Grand Central was a TractorBeam show and featured instrumental versions of “Park Ave.,” “Mirrors,” “Caves of the East,” “Home Again” and “And The Ladies Were The Rest Of The Night,” among others. The Biscuits’ show at Bicentennial Park was part of the Ultra Music Festival and mostly focused on material from the recently released Planet Anthem such as “Uber Glue,” “You & I” and “On Time.” Both Mitchetti and Hamilton subbed for Gutwillig last week at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl.

Gutwillig recently had surgery on his wrist and is said to be recovering. The group will perform next at Charleston, SC’s The Music Hall on April 1.
