Backbeat Jazzfest Series Announces Additional Shows

The 5th annual Backbeat Jazzfest Series has confirmed a number of additional shows, including appearances by the South Memphis String Band, Alvin Youngblood Hart and Jimbo Mathus (Squirrel Nut Zippers), Big Sam Williams, Nicholas Payton, Luther Dickinson, Brian Coogan, Nikki Glaspie (drummer for Beyonce), Calvin Turner and Eric Krasno & Friends feat. Oteil & Kofi Burbridge. These acts join the likes of Gene Ween, Grupo Fantasma, Marco Benevento, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Dirty Dozen Brass Band , The Slip, Hill Country Revue and “Nevillution,” among others.
