The Zen Tricksters will play a rare show at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl on Sunday, May 2. The group, which recently came together for a benefit performance at the Bowl in memory of longtime friend Dave Nolan, has only played a few shows in the past year. On May 2, The Tricksters will take a cue from guitarist Jeff Mattson’s recent time with Dark Star Orchestra by recreating the Grateful Dead’s famed May 2, 1970 stop at Binghamton, NY’s Harpur College (a gig later released as Dick’s Picks Vol. 8).

The Grateful Dead’s setlist on that night included the following (courtesy of Deadbase)

Acoustic: Don’t Ease, I Know You Rider, FOTD, Dire Wolf, BIODTL> Black Peter, Candyman> Cumberland, Deep Elem, Cold Jordan (with members of the New Riders), Uncle John
