The Funky Meters headlined New Orleans’ House of Blues Sunday night. In addition to Meters co-founders George Porter Jr. (bass) and Art Neville (keyboards), the band’s current lineup includes Russell Batiste (drums) and new addition Ian Neville (guitar). Near the end of the group’s set Sunday, Soulive guitarist Eric Krasno emerged for “Change Reform” and “Ain’t No Use.” The Funky Meters later closed its show with “Cissy Strut.” The band will appear at New Orleans’ Howlin’ Wolf on May 1 with Galactic and Rebirth Brass Band.
