On Friday night RAQ returned to the stage at New York’s Bowery Ballroom. The band, which has been on hiatus since 2008, featured its line-up from that era:Todd Stoops (keyboards/vocals), Chris Michetti (guitar/vocals) Greg Stukey (drums) and Jay Burwick (bass/vocals). The sold-out show opened with “Shirley Be A Drooler” and included such familiar songs as “Carbohydrates Are The Enemy, “ “Beauregard” and a second set opening run that moved from “Late Night” into “Brother From Another Mother” into “Moserine” and then returned to “Brother From Another Mother.” The show also offered up some debuts, including “In The Beginning,” “Melody of Anarchy,” “The Mayflower” and “Slide.” Next up for the quartet is an appearance at Camp Bisco on July 15.
