New York’s City Parks Foundation will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its SummerStage concert series in Central Park this summer by presenting a series of free shows throughout New York’s five boroughs. The new series will incorporate concert, film, dance and theater programs previously held under other banners under the SummerStage name. In total, SummerStage will present 100 music, dance and theater events in 16 parks around New York.

SummerStage will also celebrate its 25th Anniversary with an all-star tribute to the group most often associated with music in Central Park, Simon & Garfunkel. The benefit will take place on June 8, featuring unique duets performed by Shawn Colvin, Aimee Mann, Dar Williams, Loudon Wainwright III, Lucy Wainwright Roche, Joan Osborne, Stephen Kellogg, Dean & Britta, Cory Chisel, The Holmes Brothers, John Forte, Valerie June, John Roderick, Ricky Skaggs, Willie Nile, Paula Cole and Alejandro Esovedo. Ollabelle will serve as the event’s house band.
