The Motet Plays Earth Wind & Fire

The Motet has already locked down its Halloween plans. The group will once again perform the music of another artist during its annual Colorado run. This year the Motet will interpret Earth, Wind & Fire, assembling a 13 piece band for the occasion. In addition to core Motet members Dave Watts (drums), Joey Porter (keys), Garrett Sayers (bass), and Scott Messersmith (percussion), the group also will include guitarists Dan Schwindt (Kyle Hollingsworth Band) and Ryan Jalbert (Brett Dennen) as well as vocalists Jans Ingber, Paul Creighton and Jarrod Lawson. A four piece horn section will round out the group, consisting of Gabe Mervine (trumpet), Matt Pitts (tenor), Tom Ball (trombone), and Al Hood (trumpet). The Motet has confirmed three dates: October 29 in Ft. Collins at the Aggie Theatre, the 30th in Denver at the Ogden Theatre and on Halloween in Boulder at the Fox Theater.
