The Gem State Jam will take place on June 19, just outside of downtown Boise, Idaho. The locale for this event is of note, as the music will take place within the walls of the Old Idaho Penitentiary, which was first built in 1870 when Idaho was still a territory (it entered the Union two decades later). The line-up includes: Jerry Joseph feat. Wally Ingram & JR Ruppel, Big Light, Shook Twins, Mike Pinto Band, Wendy Darling, Cash’d Out (Johnny Cash Tribute) and others. Advance tickets are on sale for $10 through Saturday for what will be a sustainable, solar-powered event, with details at the festival website.
