moe. and Umphrey’s McGee traded off evening slots during Summer Camp Saturday. Umphrey’s started first, delivering a set from the Sunshine Stage that featured Mad Dog’s Filthy Little Secret horns, led by Mike “Mad Dog” Mavridoglou, on “Cemetery Walk” and “Sledgehammer.” Then moe. stepped onto the Moonshine Stage, debuting a new Al Schnier original, “Haze,” and later adding Danny Barnes on banjo during a set-closing “Waiting For The Punchline.” Then it was Umphrey’s turn and the group offered its own debut, a cover of The Fratellis’ “Chelsea Dagger,” while bringing out the horns for versions of “Women Wine & Song” and “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough.” The group’s set ended to fireworks accompaniment during “Nothing Too Fancy” and then a “Mulche’s Odyssey” encore. Finally it was moe.‘s turn to close out the music from the main stages, with another new original, Rob Derhak’s “Billy Goat,” as well as a guest appearance by Umphrey’s McGee guitarist Brendan Bayliss on “32 Things.”

Earlier in the day, Danny Barnes sat in with Keller Williams during “Get It While You Can,” the Barnes composition that Williams covers Larry and Jenny Keel on Thief.
