A number of jambands, electronic acts and hip-hop performers will perform at Chicago’s North Coast Music Festival Labor Day Weekend. The event will take place at Union Park from September 3-5, featuring over 35 bands and DJs. Chemical Brothers (Live), Nas & Damian Marley , Umphrey’s McGee, Disco Biscuits, Moby (DJ Set) and Pretty Lights are among the event’s marquee names. Other acts set to appear include: Benny Benassi, Paul Van Dyk, Cold War Kids, De La Soul, Mayer Hawthorne & the County, Jay Electronica, Boys Noize, Flying Lotus, Benga, Jakob Dylan & Three Legs, Laidback Luke, Future Rock, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Green Velvet (Live), Phantogram, Van Ghost, Two Fresh, Paul Kalkbrenner, Orchard Lounge, The Uglysuit and Loyal Divide. A portion of all ticket sales will go to support Urban Initiatives, a Chicago-based nonprofit organization that runs a health and education soccer program in fourteen Chicago Public Schools and continues to grow.
