The Roots to Play Brooklyn Bowl with John Legend

The Roots will back John Legend for an intimate performance next week. The hip-hop group will perform with John Legend at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl on June 17. Legend and The Roots are working on a collaborative album that is currently titled Wake Up. The new collaborators recently performed some songs off Wake Up in Washington, DC at an Earth Day climate rally.

Legend played Brooklyn Bowl last month as part of Cherry Lane’s 50th anniversary celebration. The Roots have also performed at the new club, and the band’s drummer ?uestlove DJs at Brooklyn Bowl every Thursday.
