“Sioux City, IA’s annual Saturday in the Park Festival’:http://saturdayinthepark.com/ took place this past Saturday. Santana headlined the event with a hit-heavy set that included such songs as “Smooth,” “Maria, Maria” and “Evil Ways.” Like the other stops on his summer tour, Carlos Santana made several political speeches through his show—the guitarist spoke out against President Obama and addressed the recent immigration controversy in Arizona. The event also featured performances by Santana’s current tour companion Steve Winwood, Michael Franti & Spearhead and 19-year-old fiddler Amanda Shaw, among others. Though Winwood and Santana have yet to collaborate this summer, Shaw sat in with Spearhead during its set.
