Over the weekend, moe.‘s Al Schnier missed one show due to illness but bounced back the next night. On Friday, Schnier sat out the group’s gig at Peoria, IL’s CEFCU Center Stage at The Landing (the band offered refunds although the show went on as scheduled with plenty of guitarist Chuck Garvey to be had). As one might well expect, that gig focused on songs written and sung by Garvey and bassist Rob Derhak. However, Schnier did return to action the next night in Des Moines, IA at a show that had been relocated from Simon Estes Amphitheater to the Walnut Street Bridge due to local flooding. On Saturday the group opened with “Happy Hour Hero” and then segued into two Schnier songs: “Seat Of My Pants” and “Sticks and Stones.”

It’s on to Minnesota for the group, with a show tonight at the Weesner Amphitheater in Apple Valley.
