Soulive performed in Alan & Neal Evans’ hometown of Buffalo, NY this past Friday. The band played outside HSBC Tower during the second installment of The Buffalo News Tower Jam, a free concert series at the foot of the tallest building in town. The city celebrated the Evans’ return by proclaiming July 9 “Soulive Day in the City of Buffalo.” Buffalo Mayor Byron W. Brown recognized “the Evans brothers’ ascension to a worldwide sensation over the course of the past decade.”

A few days earlier Soulive guitarist Eric Krasno sat in with Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl. The show celebrated Brooklyn Bowl’s first-year anniversary. Krasno, who has performed at the venue more than any other guitarist, emerged partway through the band’s set for “Running Away,” “Miss You” and “The Gasman Chronicals.”

Eric Krasno & Chapter 2 will perform aboard New York’s Rocks Off concert cruise this Thursday. Kras will perform on the Half Moon.
