Last night, Tea Leaf Green headlined a Rocks Off Concert Cruise aboard the Temptress. During the three-hour show, which took place as the boat circled Manhattan, a slew of guests joined the band onstage. Partway through Tea Leaf Green’s second set, ALO drummer Dave Brogan, Apollo Sunshine drummer Jeremy Black and Particle keyboardist Steve Molitz emerged for “Bastard Brother.” Soon after, the guests were joined by ALO bassist Steve Adams and ALO guitarist Dan Lebowitz for “Zoom Zoom.” All these guests with the exception of Adams remained onstage for “Livin Honestly” and “Wet Spot.” The latter song also featured Apollo Sunshine contributor Cochrane McMillan on percussion.

The members of ALO were in New York on a night off from Jack Johnson tour, while Apollo Sunshine is in the area working on a new record. Tea Leaf Green also nodded to its surrounding with a version of “Ocean View” at the end of its first set. The band will perform at Syracuse, NY’s Westcott Theatre this Wednesday.
