Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings Add Dates

Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings have confirmed another series of dates in support of their new album I Learned the Hard Way. The run of shows will kick off at Gathering of the Vibes and Newport Folk this weekend and include several headlining shows across the country. The group’s free Prospect Park dates will boast appearnces from fellow Daptone recording artists The Honeydripper, Budos Band and other special guests.

Saw the whole article. Phenomenal interview: Fish describes his pre-show practice routines, how he felt about his drumming between 2004-2009, as well as the ideas and origins of the beats to songs like Party Time and Taste. Here’s a man who is SERIOUS about his drumming. He’s a goofball, but damn he knows his stuff
