STS9 played its second acoustic show last night at New York’s Gramercy Theatre. The show is part of a tour in support of the band’s new live album Axe the Cables, which documents the electronic group’s first acoustic show this past December. The band played a special mini-set at the venue before doors for Relix/Jambands.com contest winners and fans who participated in the band’s scavenger hunt. During STS9’s full set, Big Gigantic saxophonist Dominic Lalli emerged for “A Place Behind the Moon” and Between 6 and 7.” Lalli, who is on STS9’s 1320 label, sat in with the band at its previous acoustic show as well. STS9 will headline New York’s Roseland Ballroom this evening. Big Gigantic will anchor the band’s official after show at New York’s Irving Plaza.
