Conan O’Brien at Bonnaroo

On June 10th, 2010 Conan O’Brien played a surprise show for 300 fans at Jack White’s Third Man Records on his way to Bonnaroo. The set of “old school rockabilly and rock and roll songs” was recorded direct to analog tape in the Third Man Live 8 track booth and is set for release on White’s label. The record will include White’s sit in with O’Brien on the Eddie Cochran classic “20 Flight Rock.”

During his stay in Nashville, O’Brien also recorded a 7” to be released as part of Third Man’s “Green Series” of Spoken Word/Instructional records, which will also be made available digitally via iTunes early next week. “And They Call Me Mad?” is the talk shoe hosts’ improvised take on the Frankenstein legend. The B side of the single is an interview with Conan conducted by friend Jack White.
