“Craft our brand logo for $200 and a spot on the guest list?” That’s the biggest bunch of bullshit I’ve ever heard! One word for the artist that designs this image: royalties!

Do you really get the jamband scene at all? It’s about supporting musicians who forgo traditional popularity for the most fan centered experience in the music industry, often times forsaking a traditional music label and the beefy financing behind it for something more personal and more lasting. Artists will submit not only for the prizes but to be a part of that and all the good karma that entails.

more than true. it means more to our community to help out even a band who may or may not know that we exist individually, but recognizes us as a whole. they reached out to us because they had nowhere else to go with it, so they bring us into the circle that theyve created amongst themselves and their fans. im sure most of the people in this contest are more than satisfied with just coming up with ideas…its feels good to be a part of something like this..the logo will be genuine of the band and the image it portrays onto its fans.

They reached out because they know they can save some $$$ all while trying to create a buzz. It’s all marketing folks. Cool contest, but they’re absolutely cutting costs. U should get at least a grand outta it. 2 cents..

As a Graphic Designer… Yes about 1K
plus the perks… Great Deal for everybody!
But 200 is too cheap IMO

Judging by how outdated they are it is only suggestive that they would assume 200 bucks is still the going rate for a logo.

it hasnt quite backfired since there is already 3 pages of logos up on the site. not saying any of them are any good but people are participating thats for sure.
