In a report posted to CNN.com, Georgia Theatre owner Wilmot Greene relates the challenges in attempting to reopen the celebrated Athens, GA venue. While it will cost more than $4 million dollars to rebuild the facility, thus far Greene has raised only $167,000. The story presents footage of the fire that gutted the theater as well as images of the work in progress. Meanwhile, Georgia Theatre Presents continues to promote area shows, including Wednesday night with Stockholm Syndrome at the 40 Watt and then on Thursday with Toubab Krewe and The Pimps of Joytime at the New Earth Music Hall.
