Eric Krasno Sits in with Gov’t Mule, Les Paul Trio

Krasno and friends play with the Les Paul Trio

Gov’t Mule headlined Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheater last night. The band’s first set featured an appropriate “Mountain Jam” tease during “Gameface” and a take on the Allman Brothers Band’s “Kind of Bird.” The quartet also performed Warren Haynes’ Jerry Garcia tribute “Patchwork Quilt,” a song partially inspired by the Colorado sky. During the group’s second set, Gov’t Mule invited out Soulive guitarist Eric Krasno for a version of “Sco-Mule.”

Earlier in the week Krasno performed with the Les Paul Trio at New York’s Iridum Jazz Club. Krasno brought along a few regular collaborators to perform with the famed trio, including Adam Deitch, Eldar and Maurice Brown.
