Mavis Staples and Billy Bragg will co-headline The Hope, Love & Justice Tour. The roots musicians will perform in theaters across the country in late 2010 and 2011. The outing promises to feature “two artists hailing from different sides of the Atlantic but both bound by the spirit of social justice and activism.” Both artists have also worked in the studio with Jeff Tweedy and the members of Wilco. Tweedy produced Staples’ forthcoming album You Are Not Alone, and Bragg recorded two albums of Woody Guthrie songs with Wilco.
