Join Over the Rhine as they embark on a unique tour through some of America’s most fabled landmarks. November 5-10, 2010, OtR, their guests, and 45 ticket holders will travel through Los Angeles, Santa Fe, the Painted Desert, the Petrified Forest, Winslow, AZ, the Grand Canyon, and end back in Los Angeles.

Musical guests include Lucy Wainwright Roche (daughter of Suzzy Roche/The Roches, and Loudon Wainwright III), Mickey Grimm, Swan Dive (Bill DeMain and Molly Felder), reknowned photographer Michael Wilson and naturalist/historian Lynn Neal for an unforgettable trip through the wide open spaces of the American Southwest to Santa Fe and some of America’s greatest National Parks: the Painted Desert, the Petrified Forest and the Grand Canyon.

Passengers will travel in overnight luxury in their own railroad cars from Los Angeles to Santa Fe, across the Mohave Desert, tracing the lines of Route 66, “the Mother Road”, and then by chartered motorcoach to the Painted Desert, the Petrified Forest, Winslow, AZ and the Grand Canyon, before reboarding the train for the trip home.

Surrounding the Festival Express-esque trip in November, OtR will tour through the Midwest and East Coast before heading out west for 8 dates in California, Oregon, and Washington. They will then return to the Midwest to finish touring before the release of their forthcoming Joe Henry-produced effort, The Long Surrender.
