Soulive guitarist Eric Krasno and singer Nigel Hall made surprise appearances Saturday night at New York’s Pianos. The musicians took the stage during an unannounced reunion by the defunct New Orleans band Jonas Risin’. The show was part of a stealth bachelor party celebration for Jonathan Peck and also featured the New Orleans funk band Afroskull. The event was organized by Jon’s brother Paul Peck, who managed Jonas Risin’ as a student at Tulane and who currently works for Superfly.

Krasno emerged partway through the band’s set for the Jonas original “Here” and was joined by Hall for Living Coulour’s “Love Rears Its Ugly Head.” The bachelor’s future brother-in-law Paul Umbro also played guitar on “I Know You Rider.” Jonas Risin’ had not performed together since 2000.
