Gogol Guests with Primus

Les Claypool enjoys some Cheese Pleasers on the Canadian leg of the tour

The Oddity Faire tour will close out this weekend with three shows in the Northeast on Friday, saturday and Sunday. Last night at the Asheville Civic Center in Asheville, NC, however, was the final date in which Primus was joined on the bill by Gogol Bordello (Mucca Pazza will appear this weekend). To mark the occasion, Gogol’s Eugene Hutz, Sergey Ryabtsev and Yury Lemeshev made an appearance with the mighty Primus. The three musicians joined the headlining trio for a version of “Big in Japan” that took place midway through the set.

Tonight Gogol Bordello is in Atlanta at the Buckhead Theatre.

That was the highlight of the show for me! Gogol fucking ripped up the opening slot. Primus may be waning a bit in my opinion, but the Is It Luck ? encore was pretty badass…
