Gregg Allman performed at New York’s Beacon Theater last night as part of T Bone Burnett’s The Speaking Clock Revue. The show marked the Allman Brothers Band leader’s first appearance at the venue since 2009. The Allman Brothers Band moved its annual run of New York shows to the United Palace Theater earlier this year after the Beacon booked Cirque du Soleil’s Banana Shpeel.

Like his performance in Boston Saturday, Allman offered a short set focused on his new studio album, Low Country Blues. He also bantered with an audience member and revealed that the band would return to the Beacon next year. No formal announcement has been made about the band’s Beacon plans.
