Several high profile performers made surprise appearances at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl Saturday night. The show, which took place during CMJ week, celebrated the Fool’s Gold label’s anniversary. In addition to the evening’s previously announced talent, rap superstar Kanye West emerged for a five-song appearance that included “So Appalled,” “Monster,” “Power”, “Devil In A New Dress” and “Runaway.” The rapper was backed by A-Track during his surprise appearance. GZA and Chromeo also made stealth appearances throughout the night.

Kanye West is arguably the currently best selling hip hop musician to play Brooklyn Bowl, which is run by Relix/Jambands.com publisher Peter Shapiro (Snoop Dogg, Big Boi, John Legend & The Roots and Talib Kweli have all graced the venue’s stage). The Jam Stampede will perform at the venue tonight.
