Kenny Chesney Sits in with Grace Potter & the Nocturnals

Kenny Chesney sat in with Grace Potter & the Nocturnals this past Saturday. The performance took place near Chesney’s hometown at Nashville, TN’s Ryman Auditorium. The country star emerged during Potter’s set for “You & Tequila,” a song the pair recorded for Chesney’s new album Hemmingway’s Whiskey.

“Singing ‘You & Tequila’ on stage with Grace Potter and the Nocturnals was as natural and magical as it was in the studio,” Chesney said in a statement. “Sharing the stage with them and singing that song for her audience was really inspiring for me!”

In addition, The Nocturnals played a special Halloween show at Nashville’s Exit/In last night. The members of the band dressed as country stars—Patsy Cline, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Billy Ray Cirus and Dolly Parton—and took the stage to a series of spooky sounds. The group also offered up some country-inspired covers, like “Jolene”, “Luckenback Texas” and “Take My Breath Away”.
