Messy Jiverson Sits in with Kyle Hollingsworth

The St. Louis-based jamband Messy Jiverson spent four days on the road opening for Kyle Hollingsworth Band last week. One particularly noteworthy show took place at St. Louis’ Old Rock House this past Friday. At the end of the night, the members of Messy Jiverson joined Hollingsworth and his band onstage for “Dancin’ In Outer Space,” “People Say” and “Peregrino.” Messy Jiverson will perform at Kansas City, Missouri’s Crosstown Station this Wednesday while Hollingsworth will perform with Bonerama at New York’s Sullivan Hall this coming Friday.

Messy Jiverson is incredible! I’m astounded that a band that small made such a masterpiece (Rivers, Old Growth and The Wizard’s Cloak) so early on in its career. Do yourself a favor and listen to that album one night, you will not regret it. I hope Messy starts blowing up b/c they deserve it! I would describe them as a combo of MMW, My Morning Jacket and Led Zeppelin. Such a unique sounding band.
