The Low Anthem will release the new album Smart Flesh on February 22. The self-produced album is the follow up to the Low Anthem’s 2009 breakthrough Oh My God, Charlie Darwin on Nonesuch. The majority of Smart Flesh‘s eleven tracks were recorded in “a cavernous, vacant pasta sauce factory in Central Falls, RI.” Monsters of Folk/Bright Eyes producer Mike Mogis mixed the record in Omaha with additional mixing by engineer Jesse Lauter (Elvis Perkins) in New York. The album is the ban’s first release with new member Mat Davidson.
