Jon Fishman sat in with Mike Gordon last night at Portland, ME’s Port City Music Hall. The drummer—who has a home in Maine—emerged partway through Gordon’s set for his debut cover of Little Feat’s “Easy to Slip.” Fishman remained onstage for the rest of the show, including “Walls of Time,” “The Voide,” “Sugar Shack,” “Cities,” “Traveled Too Far,” “Sound,” “What Things Seem,” “Nobody’s Home,” “Time (The Revelator),” “The Grid,” “Makisupa Policeman,” “Suskind Hotel,” “15 Step” and “Alphabet Street.”

“Easy to Slip” is not one of the Little Feat songs Fishman and Gordon performed with Phish on Halloween, though Gordon has covered the Waiting for Columbus track “Sailin’ Shoes” several times this tour.

Gordon will close his fall tour at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club tonight.
