The first night of Yo La’s Chanukah run

Glenn Mercer and Bill Million of the Feelies sat in with Yo La Tengo last night at Hoboken, NJ’s Maxwell’s. The show was the second night of Yo La Tengo’s annual Chanukah celebration at the venue. The Parting Gifts and comedian Jim Gaffigan opened the night. Mercer emerged during the band’s encore for a cover of Psychedelic Furs’ “Pretty In Pink.” The members of Yo La Tengo and Mercer were then joined by Feelies guitarist Bill Million for Velvet Underground’s “White Light/White Heat.” The Feelies duo remained onstage for their own “Fa Ce La” and Jonathan Richman’s “Roadrunner.”
