New York City music venue Sullivan Hall will commemorate its 3rd Anniversary on Saturday night, January 1st. The club is assembling quite a quartet for the occasion as Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann will be joined by his current 7 Walkers bandmate/founding Meters bassist George Porter Jr. along with guitarist Steve Kimock and Nigel Hall on vocals/keyboards. This will be a post-Phish event, taking place after that group wraps up its January 1 performance at Madison Square Garden. Tickets for the Sullivan Hall celebration are now on sale.

Kreutzmann’s appearance marks the first time a founding member of the Grateful Dead has performed at the venue. Tea Leaf Green and U-Melt officially opened the room on January 1, 2008. Trombone Shorty headlined the club’s 1st Anniversary Party in 2009 while The Slip and Marco Benevento Trio performed at the club’s 2nd Anniversary Party earlier this year.
