Surprise Me Mr. Davis headlined Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl Tuesday night. After experiencing some weather-related travel problems that prevented him from making it to Monday night’s Davis show in Massachusetts, the group’s frontman Nathan Moore took a seven hour train into the city to perform with the band. Keyboardist Marco Benevento was unable to get back to the East Coast for the show so Surprise Me Mr. Davis soldiered on as a quartet.

Diamond Doves—a band featuring members of Elvis Perkins in Dearland—opened the night. During Davis’ set, Dearland/ Diamond Doves drummer Nick Kinsey emerged to play alongside Davis drummer Andrew Barr on “I’m No Good At All.” Kinsey has played a few shows as part of Marco Benevento Trio and members of Dearland have recorded with members of Surprise Me Mr. Davis for the new Barr Brothers album.
