The String Cheese Incident’s Winter Carnival Returns

The String Cheese Incident will return to the stage for three nights in March. The 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, CO will host the group’s Winter Carnival which will see three different bands open for the group, affirming the varied tastes of SCI’s members. On Thursday, March, 10 British producer/electro-artist Ott will provide support (and likely take the stage with String Cheese). Ott will be followed by J.D. Crowe & The New South on Friday, March 11 and Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk on Saturday, March 12. The public on-sale will begin on Saturday, January 15, with full details at the group’s website.

Hi! I am one of the other bloggers here hnplieg at the sale today. I just tried one of the Pear Almond tarts and it was amazing! Looking forward to getting home and looking through your blog some more. Crossing my fingers that the tart recipe is here somewhere. I am also eyeing the last no knead bread and thinking about buying it.

whoaaa… I saw the revivial, phish, and ween at the broomfield events center and had a great time at every show. The sound is much better than the fillmore and the “vibe“is no where near as dirty. Great place to see music, and i can take the bus all the way from Ned. Say Cheese! Anything like the sets at Horning’s and it should be fun.

boo, just grow a set and do an actual tour.

WEAK! I was really looking forward to the possibility of getting stabbed and smoking crack with colfaxs finest. Winter Carnival isnt winter carnival without the ridiculousness that is the scene in front of the fillmore. 1st bank aint got no soul and by soul i mean crack hos

If SCI considers this Winter Carnival, consider me Miles Davis. To terrible and beyond!

This falls into the category of “Thanks but no thanks”. Hard to think that the 1st Bank venue is a better fit than the Fillmore for the current Cheese.

ever been? January 6, 2011, 14:33:45

Ever been to 1st Bank? It is actually a great venue with great sound.

If you dont like the venue then don’t go- very simply- stop bitching

I was at the 1st Bank venue for the Fourmile Canyon benefit, and the sound and setup is far superior to the Fillmore. The venue may lack the “soul” of the Fillmore, if “soul” means crack hos on Colfax. If you don’t like it, don’t go… more dancing room for the peeps! Wish I could be there…

Oh, and JD Crowe is going to be there! That man plays the HELL out of the banjo. That should be incentive enough.
