Guster is the latest artist to appear on Daryl Hall’s web series Live from Daryl’s House. The band recently recorded six songs with the Yacht Rock hero for the program, which will air on January 15. As the band explains, “You go to Daryl’s house and sing songs together (Daryl’s songs, Guster’s songs) in his studio while a renowned chef makes duck a l’orange and steamed mussels in the kitchen. Then when the music is over you drink a lot of wine, eat good food, ask Daryl a million questions about what it’s like to be a rock star, and pee in the snow in Daryl’s backyard.”

“This was, for sure, one of the Top Seven Things I Have Done With My Band,” Guster’s Ryan Miller said in a statement. “Just don’t ask me about the other six.”

The episode is scheduled to feature versions of Guster’s “Do You Love Me”, “Bad Bad World,” “Satellite and “Hang On” as well as Hall and Oates’ “Rich Girl” and Daryl Hall’s solo cut “Sacred Songs.”

“The guys have a great sense of humor” Hall added. “I didn’t even mind that they practically cleaned out my wine cellar.”

The band has also confirmed a series of 2011 shows. The tour will include a hometown appearance at Boston’s House of Blues on May 7. A complete list of dates is available here.
