Dave Matthews Band Will Return This Summer

Back in May, Dave Matthews Band announced, “We wanted to let everyone know that after twenty years of consecutive touring, Dave Matthews Band will be taking 2011 off. We feel lucky that our tours are a part of so many people’s lives, and wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible.” While the group will not be returning to the road for an extended stretch this coming year, DMB will regroup to host its own festival-style events.

The band has announced, “2011 is our 20th anniversary as a band and we want to celebrate by playing music together. While we are still taking the year off from touring, we have decided to plan four multi-day, multi-artist music events that will take place this summer. We will be sending out save the date emails and announcing more information soon but we wanted to share the news with our fans first.”

I might be what you call a newbe to DMB, but have you all been listening to the lyrics. I mean really listening or how about feeling the momentum of the music. Dave’s talent alone is enough to carry you away! Does it really matter where you hear them at or who is standing next to you. DAVE MATTHEWS BAND stands to be the most awesome band ever to be heard and felt!! Not to mention all the charitable and political contributions they are known for!!

I heard to make up the extra revenue from not touring that Pizza Hut is going to sponsor and heavily advertise around these mini festies. Pizza Hut wings will be the only food sold inside, no nans, my boy works for Capshaw.

I am a DMB fan and was since high school….that was 11 years ago….since discovering all the music that is out there that is BETTER I am very excited to see what a year off for DMB can do for shaggy haired, popped polo collared, kakhi shorts and berkenstocks wearin spoiled rich kids. Dave is a legend, but there is so much more out there…Everyone check out state radio, tea leaf green, the disco biscuits, pretty lights, sts9, slightly stoopid, rebelution…..the list goes on…farewall for now DAVE!!!!
