The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has confirmed its roster of performers for 2011. Once again the event will take place over two weeks, on April 29 – May 1 and the May 5 – 8. Notable artists who will travel to NOLA and appear at this year’s Jazz Fest include: Wilco, Arcade Fire, Robert Plant, Sonny Rollins, Kid Rock, John Legend & The Roots, Jimmy Buffett, Sonny Rollins, Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Gregg Allman Blues Band, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Jeff Beck, Lucinda Williams, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Robert Cray, The Avett Brothers, Wyclef Jean, Mumford & Sons, Mighty Clouds of Joy, Bon Jovi and Maceo Parker with guest Pee Wee Ellis.

As always a number of Crescent City natives will participate as well. The Radiators will make what may well be their final Jazz Fest appearance, along with other area residents, such as: Dr. John, Allen Toussaint, Neville Brothers, Galactic, George Porter, Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners, Irma Thomas, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Rebirth Brass Band, Tab Benoit, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Marcia Ball, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Ellis Marsalis, Walter “Wolfman” Washington, Henry Butler, Papa Grows Funk, Big Sam’s Funky Nation and may others.
