ALO headlined San Francisco’s The Fillmore this past Saturday as part of its annual Tour d’Amour. Sean Hayes opened the show and joined ALO partway through its second set for “Alabama Chicken.” In addition, Nicki Bluhm and her guitarist Deren Ney sat in with the band during its first set on “Jetplane.” The song is a Nicki Bluhm original off her new album Driftwood. ALO’s Steve Adams, Dan Lebowitz and Dave Brogan all appear on the disc. ALO ended its second set with a run from Steely Dan’s “Kid Charlemagne” into its original “Time Is Of The Essence” and a set-closing take on Steel Dan’s “Reelin’ In the Years.” ALO’s tour will continue in Obispo, CA on February 9.
