Members of Railroad Earth and Great American Taxi Share the Stage

Railroad Earth and Great American Taxi played a few shows together this past weekend. Friday’s performance took place at Santa Cruz, CA’s Catalyst and, at the end of Railroad Earth’s set, Taxi guitarist Jim Lewin emerged for the Grateful Dead’s “The Wheel.” Lewin and Taxi frontman Vince Herman later returned during Railroad Earth’s encore for a cover of The Band’s “Ophelia.”

The two bands performed at Napa, CA’s Uptown Theater the following night. At the end of Railroad Earth’s set, Lewin and New Monsoon guitarist Jeff Miller took the stage in tandem for a cover of Neil Young’s “Powderfinger.”
