Last night, Trey Anastasio & TAB’s winter tour continued at Albany, NY’s Palace Theater. Like Friday night’s performance in Maine, Anastasio opened his set with a series of solo acoustic Phish songs, including “Free,” “The Wedge,” “Prince Caspian,” “Backwards Down The Number Line,” “Limb by Limb,” “Stealing Time From The Faulty Plan,” “Guelah Papyrus,” “Buffalo Bill,” “Joy” and “Halley’s Comet.” Near the end of the set, TAB’s Jen Hartswick and Natalie Cressman emerged for a take on “Wading in the Velvet Seat.” TAB keyboardist Ray Paczkowski joined the trio next on the first version of the Shine cut “Black” since 2005. The rest of the Trey Anastasio Band then took the stage for full acoustic versions of “Valentine” and Charlie Daniels’ “Devil Went Down To Georgia.”

The Trey Anastasio Band returned after a short break for an extended electric set that featured the first version of “Done Done It” since 2005 as well as a take on Toots & the Maytals’ “Sweet & Dandy” (a song Anastasio recorded with the reggae legend). The group also debuted a cover of Gorillaz’s “Clint Eastwood.” Like many TAB shows near bassist Tony Markellis’ hometown of Saratoga Springs, NY, the band also played “Windora Bug,” a song that features Markellis on co-lead vocals.
