God Street Wine guitarist Lo Faber and Aaron Maxwell played the latest in their increasingly regular series of acoustic shows last night. The gig took place at New York’s Joe’s Pub and God Street Wine co-founders Dan Pifer (bass) and Jon Bevo (keyboards). In addition, violinist Jason Crosby—a member of God Street Wine in 1998 and 1999—sat in for two portions of the night. He emerged early in the set for “Beautiful Lies” and “Stranger” and later returned for “Epiphany,” “Angeline,” “Nightingale” and the encore of “Straight Line.” The only original member of God Street Wine who did not perform last night was Tom Osander, who currently splits his time between Ireland and Germany.
