Leading up the kick off of Mike Gordon’s March tour, LivePhish has released a free live recording from the bass player’s performance at the Fine Line Music Cafe, Minneapolis, MN on November 16, 2010. The show landed in the middle of Gordon’s 2010 fall tour with his band consisting of Scott Murawski (guitar, vocals),Todd Isler (drums), Craig Myers (percussion) and Tom Cleary (keyboards). Highlights include lengthy jams on the GRAB original “Suskind Hotel” in the first set and “Idea” in the second along with the appearances of Son Seals’ “Funky Bitch,” and the Leo Kottke penned, “Middle of the Road.” The recording has been mastered by Jonathan Russell from Rachel Bischoff’s original live mix and is available for download in MP3 format at Livephish.com.

Gordon hits the road with his band tomorrow night at the McDonald Theatre in Eugene, OR and will make stops across the country, including a show in Telluride, CO on March 12 and a co-bill with Galactic in St. Louis on March 16. Gordon will also make his first appearances at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl for a two night stand on March 22-23. The tour comes to a close with a hometown show at South Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground on March 26.
