On Thursday SCI debuted Bill Nershi’s “Colorado Bluebird Sky”

Last night the String Cheese Incident performed the second of its three Winter Carnival dates at 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, CO. The evening saw two songs return to rotation as the group performed its first version of Paul Simon’s “Late in the Evening” in nearly ten years (11/10/01), as well as the first take on its own “Sing a New Song” in almost six years (10/10/06). The New South opened the night (J.D. Crowe is not touring with the group after suffering a broken arm last month) and joined String Cheese for the first three songs of set two: “How Mountain Girls Can Love,” “Rocky Road Blues” and “Shenandoah Breakdown.” A bit later the encore featured SCI’s debut cover of Supertramp’s “Bloody Well Right” which segued into “Las Vegas.”

Here is the setlist as it appear in our Box Scores section.
